A very special Jupiter Disco debut, with some familiar faces coming back around. At some point in the last year, it’d be a shame if you haven’t come across the selections of Prezzo, Uma Bullock, or Michael Reed. They share the nite with a mutual affection for the unexpected, and a soft spot for the dancers that make a room feel a little more like home. Opening things up are two of the scene’s favorite dancers, Cris and Maggie, aka N.B. Rhythm and Majii. Beyond being apart of the Jersey-based crew Los Wachos, the two bring a deep knowledge of the genre to their selections, tracing its history through the sounds that have kept it moving across generations. Boatneck continues the proceedings with his traveling circus of oddities. From melancholic house to deep dub, expect a few unexpected turns, some serious low-end business, and records that might leave you wondering where on earth they came from (in a good way). The Groove Trackers head honcho, who goes by Prezzo behind the decks, makes his Jupiter Disco debut. We’re expecting a proper dance-floor workout here, the sort of set that gets a room moving in unison and sends peak time straight to the moon! And finally, bringing things home is UMA DJ, who’s been on an absolute tear as of late. As co-founder of DANCE DANCE and Foundation of Funk, she knows a thing or two about putting the right records in the right room. Give yourself a little extra time on the dance floor. We have a feeling you’ll need it:)
