Silence Please · 132 Bowery Floor 2, New York, NY 10013

Hosted by

Atune's first session at Silence Please: Stevie Wonder's "Songs in the Key of Life," played in full, just days before it turns 50. Join us to listen in silence, with your full attention and presence. Guest expectations/the practice: Arrive on time. Doors close ~30 minutes after the listed time, at the start of the listening. Phones are silenced and collected for the duration of the album. No talking, whispering, or movement once listening begins. Silence is part of the practice. No photography or recording. Plan for 2.5 to 3 hours. Please stay for the full album. Reflection afterward is strongly encouraged. Atune is a phone-free, communal Deep Listening experience founded by artist and DJ Max Kulchinsky. It seeks to transform the act of music listening into a shared ritual of presence, attention, and exchange. Founded out of Max's apartment in Brooklyn, with sessions extending to Chicago, Tokyo, and Los Angeles, Atune creates space for people to truly listen to music, and to one another.
