HEAVY WASTE: Antenes, R-DNA, HNDRNC, Erik Braun

Heavy Waste is back at Bossa! Antenes headlines the evening. A Brooklyn resident by way of Chicago, Antenes' eclectic DJ sets dive into acid-laced techno, shimmering electro, shadowy atmospheres and beyond. The DJ, producer and electronics artist, operates a laboratory of self-made sequencers and modular synthesizers built in the name of rhythmic, sonic, and spatial exploration.  R-DNA and HNDRNC b2b to open the evening.  Ukraine-born and now Brooklyn-based, R-DNA is a techno DJ known for a driving take on hypnotic and minimal techno. With experimentation at heart, their sets focus on intricate percussion patterns and the contrast of bass-heavy sounds with crystalline synths, uncovering something primal.  Forged in the Midwest and hardened in Brooklyn, Heavy Waste co-founder HNDRNC delivers fast, unapologetically hard techno. Commanding rooms with driving low-end and relentless pacing, he builds primal intensity, pushing the dancefloor to its absolute breaking point until surrender is the only option. Erik Braun brings us home till close. With a background in percussion, and ongoing explorations of modular synthesis, he’s drawn to a track selection that heavily features tight grooves, abstract textures, and hypnotic tones. $15 cash at the door.
