Some DJs play records. Some DJs helped write the history of house music. Born and raised in Brooklyn, Victor has spent more than four decades shaping New York's dance scene as a producer, remixer, label owner, and selector. His influence can be heard across generations of dance music through releases on labels including Nu Groove, Fourth Floor, Strictly Rhythm, and his own West Side Records. Victor has worked alongside and influenced some of the most important figures in dance music, including Frankie Knuckles, David Morales, Danny Krivit, and Todd Terry. Beyond the underground, his production and remix credits span an extraordinary list of artists including David Bowie, Michael Jackson, Quincy Jones, Chaka Khan, Ray Charles, Deborah Harry, Talking Heads, James Brown, and Madonna. From 12AM–3AM in Cargo, Victor takes over for a rare extended set. Equal parts history lesson, dance floor workout, and masterclass in house music, this is a rare opportunity to experience one of New York's true pioneers in an intimate room built for deep listening and all-night movement. From 10PM-12AM Chris Lewis opens CARGO. Known for his deep, soulful approach to house music and decades spent shaping dance floors across New York and beyond, In the Foyer, TEE EM DEE (Third Floor Sounds) sets the tone with deep, soulful house before D'Sean takes over from 12AM–3AM, blending soulful cuts, Detroit techno, disco edits, and driving rhythms into a set built for the dance floor.
