Brussels and Zurich unite as O’SIMMIE invites Jamira Estrada for an ambient friday afternoon at Silence Please. While both artists have acquired a solid reputation in alternative club-music, their musical spectrum sure isn’t limited to the dance. Operating at the intersection of experimental sound design and club dynamics, Jamira Estrada has emerged as a distinctive voice in the contemporary electronic music scene. Her compositional work on the other hand, explores textural complexity and rhythmic innovation, culminating in her debut LP "HUM" on Czarnagora – a work that marks a significant departure from the euphoric dancefloors she's frequently inhabited, delving into drone, noise and electroacoustic territories. Drawing inspiration from the melancholic euphoria of 90’s and 2000’s trance, O’SIMMIE’s sonic world revolves around rhythmic emotional dance music. While the drums take the center role when playing in the club, the Brussels native loves to play ambient adaptations of these works when he gets the chance. He has yet to come forth with a project reflecting this softer side of his musical universe as a producer, but in the meantime O’SIMMIE’s always keen to share other artists’ work through intimate listening sets.
