Queen of the Violin and Friends: Live!

DESCRIPTION: Queen of the Violin and Friends: Live! Violinist, recording artist, and bandleader Kersten Stevens brings the world of her forthcoming live album, QUEEN OF THE VIOLIN: Live!, to New York City for a one-night performance at DROM. Rooted in lineage and captured in the risk and immediacy of a live performance, QUEEN OF THE VIOLIN: Live!marks a bold new statement from Stevens — placing the violin at the center of a genre-expansive concert experience that moves through jazz, soul, gospel, R&B, classical virtuosity, and contemporary instrumental music. With technical fire, emotional force, and a commanding sound that refuses to be confined to any one tradition, Stevens positions the violin as a serious lead voice in contemporary music-making. This special NYC performance invites audiences inside the world of the album: the virtuosity, the risk, the soul, the improvisation, and the story of an artist standing inside history while pushing it forward. Featuring music from the forthcoming project and special guests to be announced, Queen of the Violin and Friends: Live! is a singular live experience from a one-of-a-kind artist expanding the sound and possibility of contemporary violin. Be in the room.
