INFORMAL PROOFS isa salon and discussion group for artists, engineers, and researchers working at the frontier. Meets in person, in New York, on a monthly schedule. — David Moy will be discussing their image making practice. David’s images are born from the same tools that built the system. He uses them not just to negate adverts that pervade our minds and hold control over our wants and needs, but to implicate the very same tools that are constructing our reality. Karyn Nakamura will present various fun experiments in sensing, computer vision, optics, imaging, spatial calibration. — DAVID MOY studied at Tyler School of Art, Philadelphia, PA and Hunter College, New York, NY. Moy has had recent Exhibitions in New York, Belgium and France KARYN NAKAMURA is an artist and engineer originally from Tokyo and based in New York.
