Mark Ernestus is an artist whose legacy isn’t confined to a specific genre or scene but instead defined by an influence across many. Moving elusively between dub, techno, and their syntheses, Ernestus’s sound is in constant redefinition, drawing from a global wealth of creation and experimentation. He closes The Sound Room after Umfang, who has been a defining architect of New York’s underground techno lineage. The shapeshifting carries into The Atrium, where DJ Python’s futurist reggaeton, dancehall, and dembow rhythms meet No Sir’s percussive, all-nerve momentum. UPSTAIRS, Berlin’s Carl Luis drifts through the differing territories of his dub collection. - Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
