Frontyard FM and Level III join together for a deep house summer night at Signal NYC featuring K.Tea and LA-based Spinorita. We first came across the Frontyard FM crew at one of their incredible Herbert Von King Park takeovers, with Chronicles, Isa, and Tallboy working together to mix some of the happiest house tunes in the world. Their energy alone draws dancers from all over New York to gather and feel the love that the Bushwick Ave-based collective exudes at every community gathering, whether in their front yard or at the club. We first got to see Spiñorita live at El Cid in Los Angeles alongside Colored Craig for a masterclass in vinyl selecting, and have been itching to get her on our dance floor in New York ever since. She lives up to her name not only from a selection perspective, but also technically. Her ability to ride an extended beat-match is unparalleled, which has ultimately led her into the production sphere as well. Her first vinyl release ‘Top Secret Grand Prix’, covers a sonic range from 120-160 bpm, which she uses seamlessly amongst the rest of her record bag. We are incredibly excited to have her with us on her New York tour. K.tea, simply put, is a flawless selector-first DJ. Since moving to New York from Chicago, she has approached her curation efforts drawing inspiration from far beyond the walls of house music, yet breaks down those same walls to find the through line that can make emotional impact on the dance floor. Her Lot Radio residency ‘Soul Remedy’, has been the training ground to explore deep dives into legacy R&B figures, classic house flips, and a visual aesthetic that constantly reminds us of the origins of soul.
