Pique-nique's Unheard series celebrates musical discovery—those spontaneous moments when artists listen deeply to each other and let curiosity guide the sound. Join us for an evening of unrehearsed musical conversation, where freedom takes form and sound takes shape. For this special Unheard performance at Domino Park, **Spencer Zahn** will lead a quartet of multi-instrumentalists to create two fully improvised sets under the open sky. **Spencer Zahn** is a bassist, multi-instrumentalist, and composer, long based in New York and now splitting his time with Los Angeles. A renowned collaborator and touring bassist for artists like Empress Of, Twin Shadow, Kimbra, and Half Waif, Spencer is perhaps best known for his acclaimed work alongside vocalist Dawn Richard and guitarist Dave Harrington of Darkside. His solo albums meld his jazz background with ambient pop, Americana, and neo-classical influences. He was the artist-in-residence for the inaugural year of Unheard in 2023, making his return to the series a homecoming of sorts. **Spencer Zahn** (bass, keys, electronics) // **Morgan Guerin** (sax, EWI, drums, keys) // **Alfredo Colón** (sax, EWI) // **Kirk Schoenherr** (guitar, electronics) *Presented by Pique-nique in partnership with Domino Park, made possible thanks to the support of the Brooklyn Arts Council's Brooklyn Arts Fund.*
