A truly prolific artist, Mark Broom’s career of over three decades is hallmarked by an interest in quality, intelligent, techno. Originally inspired by the emerging sounds of hardgroove, acid, and Chicago house, his sets blend old-school sensibilities with percussive, rolling, groove-forward techno. Julia Govor opens with her always-correct leftfield versatility. Neel opens The Atrium with a uniquely surreal attention to ambiance, at no cost to building a powerful, layered, heads-down dancefloor, before Blue Hour takes the reins. The Berlin-based artist ties together all the sounds of the bottom floor, fusing acid techno, classic rave, breakbeat and leftfield into dreamy euphoria. A first-generation Somali-American artist from Minneapolis and regular UPSTAIRS, Yasmeenah’s sets journey through the rich history of Black diasporic music. \- Public Records aims to provide a safer space.
