Xena Transcription: Kamran Sadeghi, Løt.te b2b Sploofi, mayilovesummer, ceremonial disobedience

XENA TRANSCRIPTION Saturday, October 10 Secret Loft Location In Bed-Stuy Was it all a dream? Powdered residue drifting across a footpath as clouded mirrors smash. Steam pressed firm against the window. A quill pen splatters and snaps in half. Choir hymns glide in interlude across the floorboards. And yet, on Saturday, the tenth of October… Xena Transcription will reconvene for its second iteration at a beautiful loft in Brooklyn to present cutting-edge concepts in visual art and audio on a custom analog system reinforced by Jupiter Sound. Butoh movements with cello and analog electronics by the scorching hot ensemble, ceremonial disobedience ft. Quique & Demetria Charalambous. Sonic excursions that zip through dense layers of erratic spatial behavior, off-kilter rhythmic concepts, and possibly some bangers, in a masterclass in live performance from Kamran Sadeghi. An opening set of sensuous and ethereal body music by Hybrid Identity resident mayilovesummer. Emotive texture audio, and disintegrating rhythmic catharsis provided by BENT and Xena Transcription founder Serpent In A Straight Line. WARNING. Løt.te b2b Sploofi may go berserk during this rare and bombastic closing set. Viewer discretion advised, and be prepared 2 sweat. Come with kindness and respect for your fellow creatures. This will take place in an intimate loft, act fast as sales are limited. Location will be provided to ticket-holders on the 10th. Keep it freaky, Keep it cute.
