SOB's presents: Celia Cruz Birthday Tribute

SOB’s Presents: a birthday tribute to Celia Cruz. Celebrate the music of one of salsa’s greatest pioneers on what would have been her 101st birthday. Join us for a night of dancing, live salsa music, dinner, and drinks at SOB’s – one of the first places Celia performed in New York City! One of the most influential artists to ever grace the stage at SOB’s, Celia Cruz brought infectious energy, bold creativity, and a larger-than-life presence every time she performed here. Throughout her career, Celia broke barriers as an Afro-Cuban woman in the male-dominated world of salsa, becoming one of the genre’s first truly international stars. Her music continues to bring generations together – leaving an immeasurable impact on New York’s Latin music community, and carrying the sound & culture of salsa around the world. Live salsa music from Jose Tabares Salsa All-Star Band, with vocals from Maya Garcia.
