Benno Presents: Julia Minkin, Sophie Coran, Hila Rabby

Whether you’re in love, out of love, or waiting to fall, Philadelphia-based singer-songwriter Sophie Coran makes you feel like you’re already there. It’s the fuel to the fire behind her 2025 album, i don’t go to new york anymore. A brutally honest lyricist, classically trained pianist and composer, her sound gravitates toward the orchestral, and to listen to a Sophie Coran track is to listen to a pop-infused symphony. Named an NPR Slingshot Artist to Watch and a Shure Songwriting Award winner, Sophie Coran praised by NPR Music, Uproxx, Ones to Watch, and EARMILK. Hila Rabby is a NYC-based singer, composer, and keys player creating music driven by synths, piano, and electric energy. Her songs blend emotion with modern production, building a vibe that feels both raw and polished. Best known for co-writing viral hit songs with French electropop sensation Kid Francescoli, Chicago-based singer-songwriter Julia Minkin steps into her own with her debut album Not Ready, co-created and produced with her husband Andrew Sudhibhasilp. Blending warm, folk-tinged vocals with dance-floor energy and introspection, Minkin “finds her own creative voice, shimmering, rhythmic, and heartfelt—both bold and refreshingly sincere” (Thoughts Words Actions blog).
