BLIND returns home. For our fifth installation, we return to 1 Ingraham Street, the room where this journey began. After four unforgettable chapters, we are bringing BLIND back with an upgraded sound system, deeper production, intentional lighting and a room built to make the dance floor feel immersive, intimate and alive. This one is personal. BLIND was created to give BIPOC, queer, trans and forward moving communities a space where we can exist freely, connect deeply and dance without feeling watched. Every installation has grown because of the people who continue to show up for us. We are endlessly grateful, and we will keep building until our people are happy. For this end of summer gathering, we bring together x3butterfly, Bapari, Concrete Husband, DJ Clone, DREAM and Zach Davis b2b Friedberg for an all star night moving through bass, techno, experimental club music, house and everything in between. X3BUTTERFLY Detroit born and New York based, x3butterfly is a Mexican American DJ, producer and experimental artist whose sound moves freely between jungle, drum and bass, R&B, dubstep, techno, house, UKG and industrial textures. Their sets are built around storytelling, fantasy and physical movement, creating unpredictable worlds that keep the dance floor constantly shifting. With roots in experimental performance art and queer underground culture, x3butterfly brings exact energy BLIND was created for. BAPARI Haitian American producer, DJ and vocalist Bapari has become one of the most exciting forces in experimental club music. Their sound pulls from techno, jungle, garage, hip hop, IDM and hard dance, while their work constantly pushes between club pressure and more intimate sonic worlds. A five time Boiler Room headliner and Grammy Award winning producer for their work on FKA twigs’ Eusexua, Bapari has collaborated with artists including Eartheater, Kelsey Lu and Lolahol and continues to build a world entirely their own. CONCRETE HUSBAND Concrete Husband is a NYC based producer, composer, flutist and DJ whose work connects hypnotic techno with contemporary composition and surrealist sound design. Classically trained at New England Conservatory, his music carries an unusual sense of tension, sensuality and psychological depth. His work has reached BASEMENT, MoMA PS1, MUNCH, Palazzo Reale and the international stage, including an invitation to open Eartheater’s 2024 tour. At BLIND, expect something beautiful, strange and deeply physical. DJ CLONE DJ Clone is a New York underground fixture and one of the forces behind FIST, a queer club institution deeply connected to BASEMENT and the city’s harder, stranger side of nightlife. His presence represents the kind of community driven club culture that exists beyond the mainstream, where intensity, experimentation and freedom can coexist. With years spent moving through BASEMENT, Paragon, Jean’s, Bossa Nova Civic Club and Alphaville, DJ Clone brings the energy of New York’s underground directly into the room. Come sexy. Latex and rubber encouraged. Come dressed for the version of yourself you want to become. Our door code remains strict. Security will be present throughout the night. No photos. No video. No phones on the dance floor. Respect for the space, the people and each other is non negotiable. We do not want you documenting this night. We want you remembering it.
