What makes the genre of horror so powerful? Join Lit Club NYC and Little, Brown at Von Bar for a literary salon exploring the power of horror. Through passages from classic horror texts and contemporary titles from Little, Brown's horror catalogue: Unspeakable Things by Elizabeth Hand, Bitter Fruit by Tempest Black, and In the Woods They Wait by Carrie Lee South, we’ll study the craft of fear and the deeper questions hiding beneath it. Bring a book that speaks to one of your own fears—supernatural, societal, existential, or deeply personal—and come ready for close reading, conversation, and connection. No expertise in horror required. Just curiosity, a favorite frightening book, and a willingness to look a little more closely at the things that scare us. Presented in partnership with Little, Brown. 🎟️ Ticket includes Little, Brown horror book and guided programming Refunds & Exchanges Because Lit Club is a one-woman labor of love, I’m unable to offer refunds or exchanges at this time. Thank you for supporting this community so generously—it truly makes all of this possible. Photo Policy We love capturing the magic of our gatherings. By attending, you consent to being photographed for use on Lit Club’s platforms. If you prefer not to be included, just let me know when you arrive—I’ve got you.
