This Community Hole is all about breaks, electro and wild eclecticism, as we celebrate resident Swimmie's 30th birthday. We've brought on Newagetension, who joins us from Florida for her NYC debut, and the ever-enigmatic Vesolo to headline this fabulous night, our second party at Bossa Nova Civic Club. Let's go crazy >:) --- Newagetension// Drawing from electro, Miami bass, and hard techno, newagetension is a Florida-based DJ/producer that curates high-energy sets built on a driving kick and infectious groove. With a focus on tension, movement, and driving rhythms, she builds a immersive dance floor experience packed with intention and raw emotion. Vesolo// Classically trained vocalist and stage performer-turned-DJ Vesolo turns out dancefloors world-wide, pumping nostalgic bass with whipping snares and synth-sex. With releases on FIST, Halcyon Veil and DiscTechno, Vesolo is also the co-founder of KOR and the forth-coming label GOASM. Swimmie// Resident swamp queen of the Brooklyn underground, Swimmie brings the eclectic transmissions of their home state Florida to every jush. Their sound pulls heavy influences from the 90s-2000s central Florida rave scene with a playful range that keeps you guessing through experimental mixes of trance, ebm and some tasteful hints of pop. Be prepared to enter the splash zone—breaks, bass and electro are the Swim signatures that will have you moving ‘til you’re drenched. Subcultures// Subcultures hails from the San Francisco Bay Area and is based in Brooklyn. An avid lover of discovering music of all kinds, he has been digging through record shops and plunging into the furthest reaches of the internet in search of interesting sounds since childhood. He has a particular affinity for edgy dance-floor movers and immersive chillout ambience, with tasteful touches of progressive trance, acid, electro, and leftfield house and techno. Brutal Twink// With an affinity for subwoofers and devilish dub, Brutal Twink seeks to represent the full spectrum of bass music. He encapsulates the most literal sense of his name: boyish brutality.
