the Weight Band started in 2012 with Jim Weider and Randy Ciarlante, both formerly of The Band, performing The Band's catalog alongside Garth Hudson, Jimmy Vivino, and Byron Isaacs. they brought in Brian Mitchell and Marty Grebb—who worked on The Band's Jericho and Jubilation albums—to flesh out the group, and have kept playing The Band's songs since.
