The Budos Band

the Budos Band is an instrumental outfit from Staten Island recording on Daptone Records. the eleven-member ensemble plays what they call Afro-Soul — drawing from Ethiopian music with soul undertones, mixed with 60s influences. baritone saxophonist Jared Tankel describes it as taking that Ethiopian foundation and sprinkling sweet 60s elements on top.
