Artist

Alva Noto

carsten Nicolai works as Alva Noto, approaching sound as a visual and conceptual artist with roots in architecture. he uses tone oscillators and looping generators to transform sound into shifting patterns of time and space, working without sequencers to reveal the texture of pure electricity.

sounds like: Alva Noto + Ryuichi Sakamoto, Frank Bretschneider, Ryoji Ikeda, Vladislav Delay, Fennesz, Byetone
