Altın Gün

amsterdam-based Dutch-Turkish psych folk band reviving Turkish folk, psychedelia, funk and rock from the 1970s—think Selda, Barış Manço, Erkin Koray—alongside originals that follow the same playbook. they started after bassist Jasper Verhulst caught the Turkish sound while performing in Istanbul, and they're still mining that era's blend of traditional and western rock.

sounds like: Şatellites, Gaye Su Akyol, LALALAR, Yin Yin, Derya Yıldırım & Grup Şimşek, Erkin Koray
